About My Clients

Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, or perhaps the both? Are you feeling adrift after a recent breakup, move or other personal event? Do you feel alone and hopeless about what your future will be like at this point? You are not alone, I know how difficult any one of these feelings can be to make it through the day. Mental health challenges can take many forms and be so debilitating and all consuming. Therapy can be a space to talk about what's going on with someone you can trust.

My Background and Approach

Our world can be daunting, filled with constant change and events beyond our control, leaving us feeling adrift. Yet, amidst uncertainty, there are moments of unexpected delight and fresh possibilities. My approach stems from a relational perspective, drawing on psychodynamic and person-centered theories. We’ll explore past experiences that impact you and work to increase self-awareness and healing. I also incorporate mindfulness, breathwork, and movement in sessions. I enjoy working with people of all ages and identities. My experience includes emotional & mood concerns, identity exploration, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, academic & vocational distress, and grief. Sharing your true self in therapy is a vulnerable act, and I respect your courage. I am mindful of your needs and meet you where you are. I would be honored to help you with the next step of your journey.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe that there is a limit to our abilities as humans. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones. I have experience volunteering for an LGBTQ focused suicide prevention hotline and I identify as an active queer member of the LGTBQ community. I care deeply for those who are suffering from mental health struggles and I know how important having understanding support can be.
