I take an integrative approach with a foundation in strengths based feminist therapy which takes into account all aspects of your identities. My primary goal as a therapist is to affirm, support, and celebrate you. When a person is affirmed for who they are and what they are already doing, powerful and long-term sustainable changes occur. My assessment is a collaborative, trust-building process with a client to determine how long they want to dig in with therapy. Sometimes people have a limited amount of time or financial resources and need faster approaches to the work we do together. If that’s the case, I use a solution-focused and cognitive behavior therapy approach where we determine what you are already doing that is working for you and learn how to harness that strength to achieve your goals.

I help my clients tap into the resources and resiliency they already have to figure out how they can support themselves and ask for support from others. You will learn to harness your existing strengths towards achieving your goals. I work in a collaborative way with you to determine how you want to dig in with therapy. I constantly work to better understand the complexities of the many facets of your identity including gender, sexuality, race, religion, and socioeconomic status. These factors not only influence who we are and how we interact with others, but our position in the world. Using this multicultural and intersectional framework, we will work together towards tangible improvements in your life. I can't wait to hear your story.
