Accepting Clients

I believe we are all in the middle of meeting ourselves. Therapy offers a chance to slow down, get curious, and make sense of who we are.

About My Clients

My work spans a range of life stages and concerns, with a particular focus on adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating trauma, chronic illness, emotional regulation, neurodivergence, disordered eating, and body image. I also welcome conversations around identity, relationships, and the expectations we've learned to live with. I'm especially committed to supporting survivors of relationship violence and sexual assault, as well as individuals in recovery from substance use and addiction.

My Background and Approach

I'm a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in Illinois, working toward my full clinical licensure (LCSW). My experience spans individual and group therapy, intensive outpatient and residential treatment, medical social work, and LGBTQIA+-affirming care. My approach draws on person-centered, strengths-based, and systems-oriented perspectives. I'm interested in understanding not just what you're experiencing, but how your relationships, identity, and circumstances have shaped the ways you navigate life. Curiosity is fundamental to my work, and I believe there's value in questioning the explanations we've developed about ourselves, especially when they no longer tell the whole story. Therapy with me is collaborative, with room for both reflection and practical change. We'll keep your goals in mind, explore what feels useful, and adjust our approach as your needs evolve. Come as you are, and together we'll go from there.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I value being a real person with my clients just as much as I value being a professional. My style is fairly casual, curious, and direct, and I think there's room for humor and personality in therapy without losing the intention behind the work. I value curiosity over certainty and try to resist black-and-white thinking. I don't pretend to know everything, and I welcome clients challenging me or letting me know when something doesn't feel right. We won't always agree, and I think there's value in talking about that openly. People are the experts on their own experiences and deserve to decide what a meaningful life looks like for them. My values are progressive, and I care about social justice and how larger systems shape our lives. I also believe therapists should do their own work, including going to therapy themselves! Outside of work, I'm a big reader, plant lover, and Diet Coke enthusiast. I also foster cats!
