About My Clients
I work with teens and adults who want to move beyond the trauma, anxiety, and painful experiences that continue to affect their lives. As an EMDR specialist, I help clients process what’s keeping them stuck so they can feel more grounded, confident, and like themselves again.
My Background and Approach
I received my EMDR training from the EMDR Institute, and have provided thousands of hours of trauma-focused EMDR therapy. I also hold degrees from the University of Notre Dame, Louisiana State University, and Northwestern University School of Law. I utilize EMDR as my primary modality because of its research-supported effectiveness and structured approach to resolving distressing experiences. I am currently researching EMDR’s effectiveness in treating phobias.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe your needs matter, your experience matters, your feelings make sense, and you can trust your gut. I believe every human should have access to high quality mental health care regardless of ability to pay. As part of my personal mission to support my community, I volunteers to provide 10 hours per week of low or no-cost EMDR therapy to underserved populations.
