About My Clients
You want to feel emotions fully without shame. You want to be connected to your own sense of desire and purpose. You deserve a space to explore the parts of you that feel unknown, “unacceptable,” or taboo. My commitment in the therapeutic relationship is to welcome and value all aspects of your experience – the stories that reflect humor and resilience, and the parts that have been shamed or dismissed.
My Background and Approach
I work with people who feel emotionally overwhelmed towards building a vibrant and grounded relationship with their feelings. As a non-binary therapist, I specialize in working with queer and trans folx, and performing artists. I also have specialized training as a registered dance movement therapist. Through a sex-positive and body-based approach, I support clients to express and contain emotion, and to explore new patterns and identities. I’ve worked in individual therapy, inpatient hospital, and residential settings with folks who have anxiety, depression, and OCD, and people who have experienced complex trauma. As a theatre artist and researcher, I have spent the last ten years focused on actors’ mental health. Through my research, I created a program which teaches actors skills for exiting emotion and character roles.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify as queer and trans/non-binary. I also specialize in working with folks who practice kink and/or consensual non-monogamy. Part of my mission in the field is to provide care that affirms gender and sexual diversity.
