About My Clients
I work with people who might be experiencing overwhelm, anxiousness or feeling disconnected with themselves. People who replay conversations after they've ended or find it easier to care for everyone else than themself? Those who are finding it challenging in a life transition like work, school, relationships, or getting older. I work with people who are ready to discover their most authentic self and are ready for the skills needed to get there!
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and collaborative. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), existential therapy, mindfulness, and somatic approaches, tailoring our work to your individual needs, goals, and experiences. I believe therapy should be more than simply talking about what is wrong. It can be an opportunity to understand the patterns that developed for a reason, recognize the strengths that have helped you get this far, and develop new ways of responding to yourself and the world around you. Depending on what you need, our work may include developing practical strategies for managing anxiety, challenging unhelpful thought patterns, building self-compassion, becoming more connected to your emotions and body, exploring relationships and boundaries, or making sense of past experiences that continue to affect you in the present.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people are more than the problems they are experiencing. The ways we think, feel, and respond often make sense when we understand the experiences that shaped us. I don’t believe therapy is about “fixing” you...you are not broken. Instead, I see therapy as a process of becoming more aware of yourself, reconnecting with what matters to you, and creating more freedom in how you move through your life. I believe you can hold both strength and struggle at the same time. You can be successful and still feel lost. You can love someone and need a boundary. You can be grateful for your life and still want something to change. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can show up as you are, develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
