About My Clients
I primarily work with adult clients from diverse backgrounds seeking counseling support. I am passionate about supporting those facing grief, domestic violence, life transitions, and complex trauma, with a focus on the LGBTQ+ community and neurodivergent folx. My experience includes working with trauma, difficult childhoods, sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I aim to provide a compassionate, judgment-free space for collaborative processing and meaningful growth.
My Background and Approach
I offer individual therapy sessions for clients. My approach is grounded in existential philosophy – the belief that confronting the universal ‘givens’ of human existence is a vital part of personal growth. While drawing on evidence-based modalities like Internal Family Systems, Person-centered Theory, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Attachment Theory, I also integrate a strengths-based, psychodynamic perspective. This blend allows me to help individuals explore their deepest questions, fears, and desires, while also cultivating self-awareness, resilience, and adaptive coping strategies. Areas of competence and additional training include: Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and grief models and frameworks (Dual-Process Model, Kubler-Ross, Tonkin’s Model of Grief, and Meaning Reconstruction Theory; disenfranchised and complicated grief).
