About My Clients
I find purpose in working with the LGBTQIA+ community, trauma survivors, and those impacted by substance use, using harm reductive models. I enjoy working with teens (14+) and adults.
My Background and Approach
I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Concentration in Addiction Counseling, a BA in Religious Studies, and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work. I am an LCSW, LSAA, and Harm Reduction Specialist. Using a person-centered, trauma informed approach, I strive to create a supportive and empowering space to facilitate vulnerability, reflection, and growth. I recognize the impact of social, cultural, racial, and gender dynamics on clients’ sense of self. I use an eclectic approach tailored to meet the needs of each individual, with an emphasis on skills building and empowerment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Hispanic, queer, New Mexican. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and I emphasize the importance of building a warm, trusting, therapeutic relationship.
