Art Therapist in Chicago, IL

About My Clients

Are you seeking a dynamic and innovative approach to managing anxiety, depression, stress, and/or ADHD challenges? Art therapy offers a fresh way to view challenges and explore solutions. Our therapy sessions will encourage you to see things from different angles, fostering a deeper understanding of yourself and your mental health journey. As a neurodivergent practitioner, I can offer a safe space for you to unmask and give you tools to navigate challenges and embrace your strengths.

My Background

I use Art Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and a Person-Centered (Rogerian) approch as a therapist. Feel free to scroll down to "Techniques I Use" and hover over the tabs to learn more about how I use each approach. I also use a Jungian approach to help with dream analysis and I find that art therapy and dream work go hand-in-hand. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Art Therapist- provisional (ATR-P). I draw from the person-centered model of therapy, incorporating mindfulness techniques, trauma-informed care and expressive/art therapy techniques. I completed a dual-degree program at Adler University in Chicago, where I received my Masters in Counseling and Art Therapy in 2020. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Human Development from DePaul University in 2018.

More About the People I Treat

The beauty of art therapy lies in its universality, allowing you to communicate and process your emotions through creative expression rather than relying solely on verbal dialogue. Clients in art therapy often discover new insights, develop coping mechanisms, and experience a sense of empowerment through the transformative act of creating art. People seeking dream analysis often present with a curiosity about the messages their dreams may hold, or they may wish to explore recurring themes and patterns. Dream analysis can be beneficial for anyone dealing with a wide array of challenges, including personal growth, relationship issues, trauma recovery, or navigating major life transitions. In both art therapy and dream analysis, the emphasis is on your unique experiences and perceptions.
