About My Clients

I am interested in working with individuals, couples, poly/ENM, and LGBTQ+ clients. My typical client would be someone seeking therapy for gender identity exploration, mismatched sexual desire, navigating multicultural identities, and performance anxiety. I am excited to help clients navigate their needs for intimacy and connectedness. I believe that sexuality contributes to our well-being, and I aim to help clients integrate all aspects of their sexuality to expand their sexual wellness.

My Background and Approach

I use a holistic approach to therapy, combining systemic, narrative, humanistic, feminist, and positive sexuality theories. I have completed coursework toward my Sex Therapy Certification from Adler University, where I have learned to work with a variety of concerns related to sexuality, such as sexuality and aging, use of technology and sexuality, alternative relationship styles, and body image concerns. My sex therapy training has deepened my awareness of how our culture, beliefs, and contexts influence our sexuality, which I prioritize with my work with clients. I also completed a social justice internship with the Center for Positive Sexuality, where I had the opportunity to develop educational materials on sexuality and raise awareness of various sexual health issues. By integrating what I learned in my social justice internship, I will be able to provide helpful resources to clients throughout our work to support them in reaching their therapeutic goals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that successful therapy requires a collaborative relationship between the therapist and the client that is built on trust and mutual respect. My goal is to create a therapeutic space where clients feel comfortable sharing their whole selves so we can explore how their identities and goals interconnect. In my experience, strengthening my communication and how I relate to others has helped me grow my self-confidence and self-compassion. As someone who believes that the quality of our relationships and social connectedness influence our overall well-being, I aim to help clients navigate their personal and relational needs.
