About My Clients

When your child has been through something hard — trauma, loss, or a major life transition — it can show up as anxiety, withdrawal, irritability, or feeling stuck. This therapist supports children and teens navigating trauma and change, while helping caregivers better understand and support healing at home. Therapy focuses on safety, emotional regulation, confidence, and resilience through a whole-family, developmentally appropriate approach.

My Background and Approach

Sessions are grounded in trauma-informed care and integrate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and play therapy to help young clients safely process emotions, build emotional regulation skills, and strengthen confidence. Therapy together is both reflective and practical, focusing on tools children and teens can use in everyday moments to manage stress, communicate needs, and feel more in control. Caregivers are supported in understanding their child’s emotional world and learning ways to reinforce growth outside of session. Treatment is paced intentionally and tailored to each child’s developmental level, with an emphasis on building resilience, safety, and lasting coping skills rather than quick fixes. Healing is collaborative, supportive, and rooted in meeting each child exactly where they are.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

At the core of this work is the belief that children and teens are not “broken” — they are responding to their environments, experiences, and relationships with the tools they currently have. With safety, support, and understanding, growth and healing are always possible. Therapy is rooted in trauma-informed, strengths-based care and the belief that behavior is a form of communication. Care is grounded in values of compassion, inclusivity, and respect for each family’s lived experience. This is an affirming and supportive space for children, teens, and families of all backgrounds, identities, and structures. Supporting caregivers, honoring developmental needs, and meeting clients where they are emotionally are central to the work. Therapy is collaborative, paced intentionally, and focused on helping families feel steadier, more connected, and less alone as they navigate change.
