If you are struggling to make friends or maintain an active social life while juggling all of your other responsibilities, you are not alone. Dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges can make it feel impossible to perform or even function. These challenges can feel debilitating and keep you from enjoying life. But they don’t have to! As a teacher turned mental health professional, I can help you acquire the skills and knowledge to move forward with greater confidence.
My Background and Approach
We will work together to explore your individual concerns and find the most effective tools for your unique needs. I take a collaborative and client-centered approach because you are the expert on your own life. Using techniques like mindfulness, parts work, and somatic techniques, we will take a holistic and integrative approach to healing the mind and body and overcoming stress. I specialize in anxiety resolution, stress management, building self-confidence, and adjusting to major life transitions. I would love the opportunity to help with the next steps towards becoming the best version of yourself. With the support you deserve, you can overcome the obstacles you face and create the future your heart desires.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are living in a society that is at odds with our basic human needs. Environmental threats, racism, misogyny, ableism, homophobia, capitalism, and work-obsession are keeping us from the joy and peace that we crave. I am committed to providing a safe space for healing for folks from all unique backgrounds, but especially those from marginalized communities. I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I have lived experience surviving poverty, and I cherish my identity as a descendant of an Alaskan Native tribe (Unangax/Aleut). Social issues I am particularly passionate about are: -Pet adoption. (I have 3 and my allergies say NO MORE, but my heart says MORE PLEASE) -Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls. (MMIW/MMIWG/MMIP) -Youth Suicide. ( I am a volunteer crisis counselor at Crisis Text Line)
