My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is focused on connection, not a blank stare sitting across from you. My goal is to co-create a space where you feel comfortable to be your truest self, to laugh, be awkward, and lean into the things that aren’t quite right for you. I will incorporate several tools that you may be familiar with, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Mindfulness, and the Community Resilience Model.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I offer a non-judgemental and client-centered environment, where exploration is welcome and where you feel emboldened to ask the deeper questions. There is a lot of stigma attached to seeking therapy, but I believe we should treat mental health as seriously as we treat chronic pain, medical conditions, or other physical wounds. I have a strong interest in supporting anyone who may be thinking “it doesn’t have to be like this,” and trust that we can figure out the rest together.
