About My Clients
I specialize in supporting adults with trauma, grief/loss, chronic illness, life changes, depression, anxiety and navigating intersecting identities, including caregiving, immigrant/multicultural, queer, gender diverse, neurodivergent, and nontraditional experiences.
My Background and Approach
I have over 18 years of social work experience with adults and providing therapy as a licensed clinical social worker the past 8 years. I've worked in a variety of settings, including a community health clinic, hospice, community mental health clinic, and private practices. I draw from different therapy approaches to meet your individual needs. I view therapy as a partnership in a welcoming, non-judgmental space where your humanity is respected and celebrated. My style is conversational, collaborative, and empowering. I'm trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy and EMDR to treat trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an eldest daughter of immigrant parents, I understand the impact of family, culture, language, and different systems on daily life and physical and mental health. Social justice values and person-centered care guide my work. I believe in honoring each person’s story and their capacity for change. Outside of the therapy room, I am an avid consumer of fiction and poetry, a proud cat caretaker, and love going to local music shows to support local artists from Latinx and LGBTQ communities.
