You’ll experience professional, trusted methods with an encouraging honesty, plaid & jeans sincerity. I create a balanced relationship with you and your partner. I don't take sides, labels or blame. I seek to equally support you both. Couples appreciate how this non-judgemental style provides safety and hope. Let's understand what patterns keep you stuck and what it takes to change them so that you and your partner can feel at home with each other again! I primarily use Emotion Focused Couples Therapy. EFT applies 50 years of research on human bonding and 30 years of applying that research to couples counseling. This helps us understand and work through challenging conflict patterns in our relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
New information can be useful; Tips and tricks can come in handy, but they don't sustain lasting change. New experience at a core, visceral level is where it all comes together. You experience change in yourself, and with your partner. This is core to Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy: to slow down, understand yourself and your partner better; to share that understanding more opening, with greater vulnerability and compassion, creating a bond that's secure and can navigate whatever life brings.
