Hi! My name is Wendy Dingee, and I am an experienced therapist with training & skills to help you manage a variety of challenges.
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Las Vegas, NV
I am certified in the Rosenberg system of Integrative Body Psychotherapy (IBP) as a practitioner and teacher. IBP is a philosophy of psychotherapy that affirms the inseparability of mind, body, and spirit in the human experience, and offers a framework for working with painful, limiting patterns on a body level in addition to psychological/verbal.
I have completed EMDRIA approved training in a belief focused approach. This is an integrative form of EMDR which allows me to use this powerful tool within the context of my own holistic, body-oriented, polyvagal-informed framework.
As a Board Certified Coach, I am trained and experienced in helping to create a life that is in line with your goals and values.
Anxiety is a result of the nervous system responding to a neuroception of threat that is outside of the current context and outside of conscious, logical-bran awareness. My polyvagal-informed somatic approach is especially suited to helping re-tune this response.
Because I am adopted, I am intimately familiar with the early attachment injury that, on some level, invariably accompanies adoptees, although for most of my life I believed that my adoption had no effect on me. Through my own process, I have become aware of how those early, pre-verbal messages from before birth and in early development live in the body and in the older, more primitive parts of the brain.
As therapists, one of the most important aspects of our professional and personal development is to continue doing our own inner work throughout our careers. Yet, we often feel an internal pressure to already have the answers and have out s*** together. Supporting other therapists on their healing journeys is one of my favorite parts of my work.
