About My Clients
I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker who loves to help parents when parenting gets tricky, those who have experienced childhood and adulthood traumas, those who have struggled with infertility and those who are experiencing faith transitions. I have a passion for addressing diversity, equity and inclusion concerns and experiences in my practice. I want this space to be a space for healing and finding a way to live life on your terms.
My Background and Approach
As a Social Worker I was trained to look at not just the person but also the systems around the person that may be contributing to the concerns my client is experiencing. Using this approach allows me to see the whole person and their environment to meet the client where they are at and to work collaboratively on goals for their future. I am certified in EMDR and have advanced training in Brainspotting and Structural Dissociation and use other mindfulness based skills to help my clients achieve their therapeutic goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy is one of the best things that we can do for ourselves and for future generations. When we can heal from the past we can move forward and teach something different to those that we come in connection with in the future- the ripple effect can be expansive. How do I know this? I have seen it in my own life. Therapy is a value that I practice in my own life and I have been able to see the shifts as I navigate parenting myself. It is crucial that all my clients feel seen and heard and so I strive to create a space whether in the office or virtually that allows clients to be open to who they are in this process.
