About My Clients

work with adults, teens, and children 5+ who struggle with navigating challenges around anxiety, depression, building healthy relationships, gender identity, imposter syndrome, and processing life changes. My ideal clients want to experience therapy that helps them align with their values, helps them beyond the surface level, and encourages them to advocate for their needs. My ideal client is open to seeing a therapist who shows their humanity and sees the foundation of the therapeutic relation

My Background and Approach

My path began with teaching in 2019. When the COVID-19 pandemic started, the limited counseling resources for my middle school students—who shared a single counselor with the entire middle and high school—became evident. Inspired by my students' suggestions, I created a mental health club to provide a space for connection and de-stressing outside the virtual classroom. This experience solidified my desire to become a dedicated resource in the mental health space. During my time in Graduate School, I worked in the nonprofit sector in Austin. I incorporate a variety of modalities in my practice such as CBT, mindfulness, and strengths-based perspectives to help clients connect with their mind, body, and emotions. My focus lies in fostering community healing and empowerment, with a vision to create safe spaces where clients can heal from past traumas and feel empowered to advocate for themselves.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My personal and professional values are rooted in liberation, empowerment, and community healing. I believe healing is a deeply personal yet communal process. By fostering connection and trust, I aim to empower clients to embrace their strengths, process their experiences, and reconnect with their mind, body, and emotions. I approach therapy with a person-centered lens, incorporating CBT, mindfulness, and a strengths-based perspective to meet each client where they are and support their unique journey. These values are essential to me because I’ve seen how they transform lives. In healing relationships, I apply these values by building collaborative partnerships with clients, validating their lived experiences, and encouraging self-advocacy. My ultimate goal is to create a safe, affirming space where clients can heal, grow, and reclaim their power. “Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion.” — bell hooks
