About My Clients
I believe that hope is what has brought you here. Hope for answers, hope to feel better, hope to find yourself, etc. I have a passion for helping individuals and couples, from the full spectrum of identities, to connect with this hope and empower them to engage their self and others in a more fulfilling way. I specialize in serving people working through issues of trauma, anxiety, LGBTQ+ issues, codependency/relationship difficulties, and depression.
My Background and Approach
I work from the belief that relationships and the systems we live(d) in impact the way we function in our day-to-day lives. Because humans are built from and for relationships, relationships hold the potential to cause dysfunction within and also bring healing and hope in our lives. Therapy with me will involve utilizing our therapeutic relationship to take the time to reflect and address the concerns that bring you to therapy, following your feelings and struggles as the road map to a more fulfilling connection with yourself and others. My approach to therapy is rooted in trauma-informed, relational psychotherapy, EFT (emotion-focused therapy), and narrative therapy, paying special attention to important relationships, events, and social and cultural constructs that have molded you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a particular passion for working with the LGBTQ+ community, codependency, and religious trauma. I aim to consistently hold a practice that is LGBTQ+ affirming, poly and kink affirming, anti-oppressive, decolonized, and with a Health at Every Size (HAES) orientation.
