About My Clients
My ideal clients are adults who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or exhausted from constantly trying to hold everything together. You may be navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, perfectionism, relationship challenges, chronic stress, or a major life transition. I especially enjoy working with clients who want to better understand their patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, build healthier boundaries, and develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves.
My Background and Approach
I’m an LCSW with over five years of experience supporting adults navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, self-esteem, perfectionism, relationship stress, life transitions, and chronic stress. I’m also a doctoral student continuing to deepen my clinical knowledge and practice. My approach is warm, collaborative, affirming, and grounded in the belief that therapy should feel human. I primarily draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and person-centered approaches. I also incorporate a systems-informed and trauma-informed perspective to understand how relationships, identity, past experiences, and environments shape the way we cope. In sessions, I balance validation with gentle challenge, helping clients better understand their emotions, recognize patterns, build practical coping skills, strengthen boundaries, and make choices that align with their values.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My values are grounded in human dignity, equity, accountability, compassion, and social justice. As a queer therapist with personal experience navigating disability and chronic health concerns, accessibility and affirming care are especially meaningful to me. My professional background has also included work with unhoused and incarcerated populations, experiences that strengthened my commitment to understanding people within the larger systems affecting their lives. During my undergraduate studies, I was involved alongside a small group of peers in Black Lives Matter organizing and protests, including community coordination with local leadership. As a photographer, I used documentary photography to capture demonstrations and interactions with law enforcement in a way that prioritized authenticity, visibility, and accountability. These experiences continue to shape my commitment to LGBTQ+ affirming, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, socially conscious, and accessible care.
