About My Clients
Do you struggle with feelings of shame, guilt, or anger that seem to come from nowhere? Are past experiences impacting your ability to trust and feel secure in your present relationships? I help people build emotional awareness & regulation, process past traumas, and navigate the challenges that feel heavy and confusing. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.
My Background and Approach
Through methods like EMDR, we can work to release distressing memories and the tension they may be holding in your body. We will work to accomplish your goals & will encourage change within your relationships, positive self-beliefs, and ability to say NO along the way. Healing from the hurt you can’t see is hard. Partially because we are excellent avoiders and partially because other people can’t see it unless we show it. I often use EMDR and an Attachment-Based style to support you in looking beyond the surface into past experiences and how they shape our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in the present. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to accomplish goals you set. These steps can be uncomfortable, and I'll be there to both guide and support you in them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My journey to The Hopeful Hour began a long time before I ever decided to become a therapist- with my own trauma background. I strive to be a person who practices what they preach, so I assure you I’ll never push you to attempt something I, myself, have not tried. I will hold space for you to vent, challenge you to build awareness into the way you think and the emotions you feel, encourage healthy boundaries, and always support you in getting past your past to get to know a more present and hopeful you. It is my hope and mission to create a space where people can share their stories, build insight into how their past impacts the present, and learn to regulate their emotions in an authentic, non-judgmental, and supportive environment. I believe that everyone has the capacity to overcome their struggles and find joy and fulfillment in their lives- let me know if you’re ready to find yours!
