About My Clients
Are you struggling with hopelessness, ongoing despair, lack of motivation, worrying, panic? Can't relax? Is your past wreaking havoc on your present? Chronic pain consuming your life? Does it feel like life is just too much? Is your baggage damaging your relationship? In a safe space, I provide therapy to individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship stress, trauma, chronic pain or life transitions.
My Background and Approach
I want to help uncover the roots of your struggle to facilitate meaningful and lasting healing and growth. Along the way I also want you to feel better equipped to handle your struggles as we work through them. In order to achieve this, I create a space of acceptance, compassion and collaboration while integrating a variety of practical and effective therapies. I utilize EMDR, IFS, mindfulness, positive psychology, CBT and existential psychotherapy in a way that resonates with each individual and within the working dynamic that we create in the therapeutic space. In essence, I want to help you cultivate ways to have short term relief as well as long term resolution. Additionally, I have invested additional time and energy to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional which has allowed me greater insight, understanding and clinical effectiveness in addressing trauma in its many forms.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a psychotherapist and human being on this planet, I believe in the power of therapy, the healing and transformation that can begin in a place of acceptance, validation, safety and trust. I also believe in the power of challenging ourselves to gain perspective and insight and ultimately coming to settle into our true selves. As a psychotherapist, I embrace the therapeutic relationship. Therefore, I want to do my utmost to establish a sense of trust, connection and shared understanding both in the beginning and throughout the duration of our work together.. I prefer to invite and guide rather than direct you in this process, helping you to truly embrace your inner-wisdom and inner-healer along the way. I believe that many of the challenges we face are within our capacity to handle and at times we will need some support, guidance, new tools and fresh perspective along the way.
