My Background and Approach
I am a licensed professional counselor with board approval to provide assessments and diagnosis as necessary. I am licensed in the state of Michigan as well as in the state of Tennessee. I specialize in working with youths (ages 5+) and adults who have trauma, anxiety issues, diagnosis of PTSD and who are victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence. Everyone is different and in order to meet clients needs I adjust my approach and methods used to fit the client. Some approaches I have used includes trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, music therapy, person centered, family systems, cognitive restructuring, mindfulness and various relaxation techniques just to name a few.
