I work with individuals who are desiring greater levels of personal freedom and seeking to increase levels of self-awareness. I also enjoy working with couples who wish to find understanding, develop functional communication skills, strengthen emotional bonds, and deepen intimacy. I work well with people who are motivated to see change in their lives, and who are willing and able to make changes in their lifestyle and apply insight from our therapy sessions.
My Background and Approach
I combine my personal experience of transformation with a decade of experience working with addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic stress, and relationship issues to offer you a compassionate space of understanding and non-judgement to explore your inner world and connect to parts of yourself with love. I believe that humans are strong, capable, and resilient, and my approach is tailored to the unique needs of the individual or couple. I view couples and families as a system, and I help to provide a container that fosters curiosity about the experience of the other, a desire to learn about and understand their reality, and frameworks for discussion that can help move conflict into resolution. I am interested in the interplay between emotions, thinking, beliefs, and behavior, and bringing higher levels of awareness into the physical sensations in the body.
