About My Clients
I specialize in working with immigrants and individuals who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), and people of the global majority. I also work closely with people who belong to the adoption community, primarily non-white individuals, couples, and families touched by adoption. I understand and respect that we all come from different cultural backgrounds. I strive to learn more about each individual’s viewpoint and life experiences through the lens of cultural humility.
My Background and Approach
As a first-generation immigrant woman of color, I work primarily with immigrants on understanding and navigating their complex family dynamics and starting to heal from their experiences of intergenerational trauma. My familiarity with the challenges of learning to live in a different culture, as well as racial discrimination in the US mainstream, enables me to offer a deeper level of empathy, insight, and understanding.
