About My Clients
I work with adults and teens who seem fine on the outside but feel anxious, exhausted, and at war with their own body underneath. Your whole life, you have tried to do everything right. You achieved, you showed up, you carried the weight of everyone's expectations. And still, somehow, it never feels like enough. You might be a high achiever wrestling with OCD, have a complicated relationship with food or weight, or struggle with the ways stress shows up in your body.
My Background and Approach
I have deep training in the gold-standard, evidence-based treatments for anxiety, OCD, and eating disorders. But I've never believed good therapy is just technique. I care as much about the art as the science, giving my clients a genuinely human experience backed by approaches I believe in. I work with adults and teens, most often around OCD, anxiety, disordered eating, and body image, plus the exhaustion of achieving and still feeling like it's never enough. We start with your story, then build an evidence-based plan that fits you. If food or your body is part of it, we'll work through it gently. You don't have to have it all figured out to start. I'm trained in CBT, including CBT for eating disorders and ERP for OCD, along with family-based treatment and ACT approaches. But I don't lead with a protocol. I lead with you. We'll draw on what actually fits your goals, and the work will feel warm, collaborative, and human, less like a formula and more like relationship.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Everyone is welcome in this brave space to be themselves, authentically. As a clinician in Texas, I understand that there are many oppressive systems that may try to strip you from being your full self. In this space, you are free to be fully who you are and have full autonomy. I'm a proud Mexican-American and the first in my family to earn a doctorate, so I intimately know what it feels like to carry the weight of everyone's sacrifices, to excel and excel and still feel like it's never quite enough, to be the one who made it and therefore can't ever fall apart. If you're the girl who has been achieving her whole life and still feels the quiet pressure to make it all worth it, I get it. I stand for immigrant rights and prioritize my patient and their families' safety, without hesitation.
