Everyone experiences different seasons and moments of feeling stuck. I work with clients who are ready to invest in their growth and take the first step toward healing. I especially enjoy helping those who have developed negative coping mechanisms and want to create healthier ways of navigating life.
My Background and Approach
My counseling style is grounded in meeting clients where they are, using a humanistic and multicultural approach. I provide a space where clients feel safe, seen, heard, and understood. Together, we reframe mindsets, build on strengths, and work to break cycles that hold you back.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that growth and change can happen at any point! Are you ready? Let's go! I am a supporter of the Queer community (I also identify as Queer), Black Lives Matter/BIPOC, and Human Rights movements. My style of counseling is to try things out before recommending them to my clients; essentially my philosophy is "don't promote something you're not willing to do for yourself." I believe this helps my clients to feel better about the resources I send to them as I often use them for myself. I also enjoy building rapport with my clients in sessions- talking about books (I'm in my Romantasy era), movies and tv shows, etc. Depending on my clients' preference, my dog likes to appear in my Telehealth sessions, which can help clients to feel more at ease.
