About My Clients
Life is messy, and we all carry around stuff that gets in the way of our being who we want to be and living the life that we want to live. This stuff can keep us stuck in a place that’s not productive or healthy. But, there’s a way through, a way in which you change and grow and become healthier and happier. My clients are ready to explore their stuff and start making that change.
My Background and Approach
I work from a humanistic and holistic approach. This means that I recognize the fullness of human potential and want to help clients achieve their fullest potential. I do this by helping clients focus on emotional regulation and encouraging mindfulness practices, positive emotion, self-compassion, and values-based living. As a holistic wellness practitioner and trained neuroscientist, I recognize the importance of integrating the mind-body connection. Mental state and physical state are not two separate entities. Stress, depression, trauma, and other factors impact us psychologically as well as physically. Knowing this, I strive to help clients cultivate awareness of this mind-body connection and learn techniques to retrain brain and body to respond differently to challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a lifelong learner and a trained educator, neuroscientist, and psychotherapist who is passionate about facilitating personal growth (I'm also passionate about drinking coffee, reading books, and running). I fully believe that there is a way out of the darkness, that shift happens when we do the hard work to change. I know, because I've been there myself - depressed and stuck, without coping skills, and wallowing in low self-esteem. If you are in that place, I want to help you get out. Whatever is it, I get it. Whoever you are, I got you.
