About My Clients
You have been diagnosed with a new and terrifying health diagnosis. Or maybe it is a one that you have been trying to manage for a long time and are feeling burnt out. Perhaps a difficult past experience seems to be dictating your life today. Emotions and thoughts feel like a whirlwind and seem to have a mind of their own. All of this makes you feel like your life is at a stand still. You and I will work together to heal and make long lasting change that is meaningful and authentic to you.
My Background and Approach
I have a background in health psychology and specialized training in helping people across the life span manage different aspects of their health. Often, alongside medical concerns and disability is immense emotional struggle such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and trauma. In our work together you will leave each session with a science-backed tool to help you regain the life you have always wanted. I will guide you to better understand your body, gain insight into limiting thinking and behavioral patterns, find closure to traumatic past experiences, and develop a plan to manage your pain and work towards healing yourself. Knowing the work this takes, my sessions emphasize our relationship and giving you the space and time you need to make the changes you want. I meet you where you're at and let you take the steps when you feel ready. I want you to find a life that is meaningful and vibrant. Contact me to schedule a free 15 min consultation to get started.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Connection, community, compassion, and competence. These are the values I hold close to my heart and work to integrate in my both my personal and professional life. Connection with yourself, in the form of being authentic and true to who you are. Sometimes our experiences and inner dialogue tell us we are not enough, but I beg to differ. We are enough as we are. Community, because as humans we need healthy relationships in our lives to thrive and it can be fulfilling to find the community that supports you. Compassion for ourselves in the moments that are hard and compassion for others in all walks of life. Last but not least, competence in the care that I provide and for the people I work with. I value continuously educating myself and being open to new ideas, perspectives, and ways of life.
