About My Clients

Many of my clients are high-achieving, multicultural, first & second-gen, BIPOC, queer folx who look like they have it together on the outside, but are navigating ADHD, complex trauma, burnout, & the pressure of being the one who holds it together. I work with teens, adults & couples+– folx who are caring & self-aware, feel everything deeply, but often wonder if they’re “too much.”

My Background and Approach

For me, therapy is a practice. It is a continuous, on-going, personal commitment to finding union within yourself, and the people we walk this life with. My aim is to support that practice with care, integrity, and the steady presence you deserve. My approach is warm, relational, & real, with room for humor & joy. We’ll unpack survival patterns formed by families, cultures, & systems using a mix of mind, body, & soul based frameworks to get to the root of it all, together. For couples, we work on communication, trust, & intimacy. I walk between therapist & coach, meshing where insight meets action. Whether it’s your first time in therapy, or you’ve been before but felt like it was too surface to help with deep change, these are post-normal times, & we’re all holding more than we should have to. However that’s showing up for you, you are welcome here.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Hi, I'm Shavika, a first-gen South Asian therapist born and raised in the Bay Area. As a 3rd-gen third culture kid, I know intimately what it's like to feel as if you don't fully belong anywhere– or in this time. To carry you and your family's history while still becoming yourself. To push yourself so hard toward safety and “success” that you end up on the other side of it, burnt out wondering what it was all for. Whether this is yours alone or living in your relationships too, there's room for all of it here. My own healing began when I finally turned inward. Therapy helped me unpack intergenerational patterns, tend to my somatic landscape, learn to better accept and manage my ADHD, and reconnect with my roots. Rediscovering joy, meaning, and living in flow while taking chances on my passions changed the trajectory of my life. That journey is what brought me to this work.
