About My Clients
I am particularly interested in working with adolescents and adults, with clinical interests that include the LGBTQIA+ community, trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and neurodivergence.
My Background and Approach
I obtained my Master's of Science in Counseling at National Louis University. Before coming to Inspire, I spent four and a half years providing neuropsychological assessment at a private practice and nearly a year as a child and adolescent therapist at a community mental health center. As a neuropsychology technician, I used neuropsychological assessments to aid in the diagnosis of a wide range of developmental, cognitive, and mental health concerns across the lifespan. In my work at a community mental health center, I primarily provided individual therapy to children and adolescents aged 6-17. Additionally, I co-facilitated two therapy groups for adults with chronic mental illness, using expressive art and journaling to foster meaningful social connections and emotional support. My therapeutic approach is grounded in a person-centered orientation that emphasizes collaboration, authenticity, and trust within the therapeutic relationship.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and I am passionate about environmental concerns. I volunteer at a cat shelter once per week.
