About My Clients
In my work with clients, I provide a safe and supportive environment to express and explore challenging emotions, thoughts and beliefs and help them discover new vistas and vantage points from which to enjoy and appreciate themselves, their lives, and their relationships again.
My Background and Approach
My practice with individuals weaves psychodynamic, humanistic, and cognitive approaches together to create an organic and authentic atmosphere for growth. With couples I utilize a Systems view to depersonalize conflict and recognize the negative pattern that causes it, a recognition of Attachment to identify and understand unmet needs, and a person-centered approach to build a foundation for empathy, love and connection.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
How do we regain balance after losing our footing? Whether through anxiety, anger, depression, fear, guilt or shame, it is normal for our lives to present challenges that throw us seemingly off course. At the same time, life’s greatest challenges can also present opportunities for growth, deep healing and the reintegration of lost parts of ourselves. I treat any upset or challenge, no matter how large or small with respect and compassion and recognize them as trail markers that can guide us to the parts of ourselves that require healing, attention and reintegration.
