About My Clients
I work with adolescents and adults explore their inner world in order to create lasting positive change. I have specialized training in addictions work, and have worked with many different populations. From my current training in psychoanalysis, clients who are committed to deep exploration and long-term change will find my style and orientation comfortable.
My Background and Approach
I have an LPCC and have worked in mental health since 2021 in inpatient, outpatient, and residential settings. My approach is based in psychodynamic psychotherapy while also pulling in CBT, emotion-focused, and mindfulness tools. What this means is that a client who is working with me will explore their unconscious patterns, relational habits, and desires all the while developing and practicing effective cognitive and behavioral tools to assist in short-term management of symptoms. We will work collaboratively to gain insight into unconscious patterns of relating to yourself and others alongside creating and fashioning a happier and freer future.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that psychotherapy offers a consistent and safe space to explore one's innermost self. I value maintaining a neutral position which abstains from judgement--but not from occasional humor. Everyone deserves to be listened to, respected, and dignified, and at its best, I think psychotherapy accomplishes those rights.
