About My Clients
Times of transition often lead people to therapy and I am honored to walk alongside you during that in-between time. In my practice, I work with children 5 and older, as well as teens and adults. I enjoy guiding teens and young adults as they navigate life's challenging stages and transitions in hopes of achieving a more whole-hearted lifestyle. I work from a relational perspective, creating a safe space for my clients to repair trust and relationships through meaningful self-exploration.
My Background and Approach
Do you find yourself feeling stuck? I can help you clarify your thoughts and feelings and help you take steps toward a more hopeful and healthy future. I am EMDR Certified and use this modality in some capacity with most of my clients, including children. I also have extensive training in Sandtray therapy and enjoy incorporating this tool with both children and adults. I especially enjoy incorporating EMDR and Sandtray together and seeing the relief my clients feel when processing traumas and shifting unhelpful or inaccurate beliefs that they have held for years. As a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, and mom to three young kiddos, I also enjoy working with parents and children of all ages. I support families in communicating more effectively and supporting one another in finding solutions to daily struggles. One of my own children is neurodiverse so I particularly enjoy working with families who are learning about their amazing (and sometimes challenging!) children.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In my practice, I believe that Black Lives Matter, love is love, no human is illegal and women’s rights are human rights. I am a white cis female and stand beside the LGBTQ community as an ally. I work from a trauma informed and anti-racist lens and am dedicated to continuing to learn and grow in order to better serve all members of our community. I look forward to meeting you where you are today and beginning this journey together.
