About My Clients

I specialize in support for people as they move through significant life transitions, including motherhood and the postpartum period, grief and loss, the transition to college, or identity shifts shaped by stress or illness. These experiences can bring intense emotions and often feel both isolating and disorienting. From the outside it may look like everything is fine, but inside there may be a storm of fear, grief, overwhelm, or confusion.

My Background and Approach

My approach to psychotherapy is integrative, relational, and trauma-informed, grounded in a holistic understanding of well-being. I draw from humanistic, psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, and somatic approaches, with a strong focus on helping clients reconnect with their bodies and inner experience. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in overthinking, self-criticism, or emotional overwhelm, and are longing to feel more present and embodied in their lives. In our work together, I pay attention not only to thoughts and narratives but also to sensations, emotions, and patterns held in the body. This can be especially supportive in postpartum transitions, chronic illness, and other periods where people feel disconnected from themselves. I help clients slow down, build emotional awareness, and develop a more compassionate relationship with their internal experience.

My Values as a Therapist

I believe each person carries their own wisdom and path forward. My role is not to fix or direct you, but to help you listen more deeply to your inner knowing. I see therapy as a space where you can slow down enough to actually hear yourself, especially when the world around us pulls us toward productivity, and disconnection. I am committed to creating a space that is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, where all parts of your experience are welcome. I value helping clients move from self-criticism toward self-compassion, and from disconnection toward a more embodied sense of presence and belonging. My work is grounded in LGBTQ+ affirming care, racial justice, Health at Every Size (HAES), cultural humility, and trauma-informed practice. I also hold a deep respect for the many ways people make meaning, including spiritual and existential dimensions of experience. At its core, I see therapy as supporting people in coming home to themselves.
