About My Clients
My clients frequently want to talk about women’s issues, trauma, anxiety, relationships, multicultural and LGBTQ+ issues.
My Background and Approach
I obtained by PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Iowa. I have experience within university counseling centers, community mental health, prisons, and grassroots organizations. My role is to listen, support, offer new perspectives, and gently challenge you when needed. I primarily draw from a psychodynamic and humanistic therapies, and value creating an authentic therapeutic relationship. I also work at Florida International University's counseling center. During our first meeting, you can share your story and what you hope to gain from therapy. From there, we’ll clarify your goals and create a safe, welcoming space where you feel comfortable being open and vulnerable. Our sessions will focus on bringing those goals to life and supporting your growth every step of the way. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
