About My Clients
I deeply identify with the pursuit of discovering who we are, how we got here, and what we want for ourselves going forward. I love working with teens, adult women, and couples who seek to create healthier & loving connections with themselves & others. Our sessions are a balance of exploring the relational wounds of our past, mindful & compassionate awareness of our present, and open minded dreams for the future. We'll laugh together, cry together, & support you in whatever life brings your way.
My Background and Approach
I am a relational therapist that specializes in working with teens (15+), adult women, and couples who are experiencing a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, relational health, conflict management, communication skills, boundary setting, racial/cultural identity exploration, trauma, and self esteem. My goal is to develop deep, long term relationships with clients, & provide them with a loving & open space to feel supported as they move through life. We co-create this space through developing a trusting & safe therapeutic relationship. We'll also explore your identities & connections to the cultural, familial, and societal systems that have impacted your life. I also believe in the power of play & humor in therapeutic work. Therapy is hard sometimes, but it should also be fun - just like life!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the healing power of authenticity & shared humanity. I show up to my sessions authentically myself in hopes my clients will feel safe enough to do the same. I’m a fun-loving & bubbly person, and my sessions are definitely reflective of that. We will laugh, cry, and enjoy each other’s company. I want to hear about all of the facets of who you are! What are your fears, dreams, and fave Netflix shows? Tell me about your job, your family, your friends, and your pets (pet pictures are basically required!) No stiff & overly structured conversations here. That’s not real life! I’m the therapist that likes to take off my shoes, share my snacks, and get to know my clients as a human first. I also believe in the importance of intersectionality in therapy. My experience as a white-passing, bicultural, 2nd gen immigrant has fueled my passion for holding a safe space for folks of all backgrounds & identities. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, active in anti-racism advocacy work, & HAES informed
