About My Clients
I work with all who are seeking healing, but work especially well with Asian American women, BIPOC, and the adult children of immigrants and refugees. I also work with first time parents as they navigate the transition into parenthood and healing their own child parts while being present for their new child. We are often working on intergenerational trauma, reconnecting to the body, identifying needs and how to voice them, establishing healthy boundaries, improving self-esteem, and more.
My Background and Approach
I'm down-to-earth, relational, and holistic in my healing. It’s steeped in the principles of psychodynamic theory (how the past impacts present), my experience as a child of refugees from Vietnam, and my transition from the corporate world into the realm of healing. I want to help you to gain a clearer understanding of yourself, disrupting mental and behavioral patterns that no longer serve you, and find ways to integrate all the parts of who you are. We can do this through making sense of our past, cultivating joy, finding gratitude, and feeling deeply into the emotions we often avoid. I've worked for several years in not for profit mental health clinics with clients who come from all walks of life, and am now in private practice. I often use body based approaches, meditation, Brainspotting, and relational therapy to truly get to know my clients and empower them to create the healing that they desire.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I deeply believe that there is an innate wisdom that exists within, and that sometimes we need some support in connecting to it. I sincerely want to help facilitate a space for you to heal, whatever that looks like. I think it's difficult to do the thing we call "life" alone, and that it's really the relationships that we cultivate with ourselves and others that can bring profound healing and happiness. I'm here with an open heart, I'm a great listener, and I sincerely want you to heal and create a life in which you thrive rather than survive.
