About My Clients

Do you Feel "stuck” or unable to move forward? Feel conflicted or like you are constantly “fighting myself”? Or are you able to cognitively understand why you struggle but still experience unresolved emotional distress? I strive to create a therapeutic space that is grounding and calm for all people to explore and heal from issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflict, life transitions, grief and loss, self-esteem, and personal growth.

My Background and Approach

Born and raised on O'ahu, I hold deep appreciation for Hawaii’s unique history, culture, and values. I embrace a trauma-sensitive approach that is compassionate and non-pathologizing. I integrate strategies supported by research on brain-body connection, somatic processing, attachment science, and parts work. I am certified in Brainspotting and IFS-informed to help you reprocess and reintegrate experiences in healthier and more helpful ways. These approaches allow us to honor your strengths and potential for healing while exploring personal challenges with compassion and curiosity. We focus on going to the root of your pain to heal it, by exploring and shifting unhelpful patterns stuck in your nervous system. Together, we will move toward rather than avoid discomfort and distress, with the goal of transforming your personal experiences and enhancing your relationship with self and others. We always move at your pace.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My personal values have been shaped by my multicultural upbringing and personal experiences, and my interest in foreign language and culture. My experiences studying abroad in Tokyo, Japan, working with Bhutanese and Nepalese refugees at Asian Pacific Development Center (APDC) in Aurora, Colorado, and teaching international students in the Pan Pacific Program at Punahou School informed my doctoral research on the help-seeking attitudes and behaviors within Hawaii’s local Filipino community to help identify barriers to access and engagement in mental health services. In therapy, we often explore cultural influences on beliefs, behaviors, and wellbeing.
