About My Clients
I work with self-reflective adults (20+) who recognize that much of the work happens outside the therapy room. Many clients are navigating anxiety, eating or body image concerns, ADHD-related challenges, depression, self-doubt, or people-pleasing. As a feminist therapist, I enjoy working with women and adults who want healthier boundaries, more assertiveness and confidence, and a clearer sense of voice — in Asheville in-person or via telehealth in North Carolina, D.C., Virginia, and Colorado.
My Background and Approach
We will go at your own pace. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical, grounded in evidence-based therapies that explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I have additional training in Binge Eating Disorder and ADHD. I believe meaningful change begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship, while also developing insight into longstanding patterns that may be influencing your current experiences and relationships. When working with eating disorders and body image concerns, I take a weight-neutral approach.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy works best when it feels safe, non-judgmental, and at a pace that feels helpful to you. My style is supportive, upfront, and transparent — collaborative rather than one-size-fits-all, and honest about what therapy can and cannot do. I aim to offer a combination of listening plus feedback based on your preference, with the ideal goal of you not leaving the session feeling "bloody." As a feminist-informed therapist, I understand struggles in the context of societal expectations, gender roles, and cultural pressures. I'm weight-neutral and HAES-informed. Therapy here is not about forced positivity or being "fixed," but about building a life that feels more workable and aligned with your values.
