About My Clients

My clients are often insightful, aware of their struggles, yet feel stuck when it comes to change. Many carry histories of trauma, navigate complex mental health challenges, or face systemic barriers. I also work with couples seeking to rebuild trust, deepen connection, and shift patterns that no longer serve them. Together, we turn insight into action, creating space for healing, resilience, and growth.

My Background and Approach

Healing is not for the faint of heart. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, and a commitment to social justice. I specialize in working with those carrying traumatic histories and with couples seeking deeper connection, while also supporting individuals navigating complex mental health challenges, substance use, and systemic barriers. Many clients come to me already aware of their struggles but stuck in creating change. I draw from psychodynamic insight, Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, and somatic awareness to connect mind and body, turning insight into action and sustainable growth. My style is direct yet compassionate: I challenge defenses and old patterns while offering safety, humor, and support. Healing is not linear, and growth often emerges in unexpected places.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy should be accessible, liberatory, and rooted in justice. My work is shaped by feminist and anti-oppressive values, and I strive to hold space that affirms all identities and challenges systemic barriers. I stand in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community, racial justice movements, and efforts to dismantle the criminalization of poverty and substance use. I have dedicated much of my career to working alongside people impacted by trauma, homelessness, and the legal system, and I continue to advocate for change in these areas. Outside of therapy, I find joy and grounding in nature, camping, reading, and connecting in community. These values guide not only my clinical work but also how I live my life: with honesty, compassion, and a belief that personal and collective healing are deeply intertwined.
