About My Clients

I specialize in counseling for child and adolescents from divorced or blended families. My clients are children, teens, and young adults who are adjusting to the challenges of divorce, remarriage, or blended family life. Clients connect with me when family conflict, co-parenting struggles, or stepfamily transitions begin to affect their child’s behavior, mood, or school performance.

My Background and Approach

I prioritize creating a safe and supportive space where clients process change, build resilience, and find connection. I am a practitioner of Child-Centered Play Therapy, Adlerian Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and Motivational Interviewing. Ria is a proud former educator and school counselor in Austin ISD.
