About My Clients
Rebecca works with adults of all ages and genders. She has advanced training in working with the perinatal population - people and families in the conception, pregnancy, and postpartum time periods, including mood disorders, grief and loss, and adjustment challenges. Rebecca also enjoys working with couples of all types. She has received additional training to facilitate the Prepare-Enrich assessment tool for premarital couples.
My Background and Approach
I primarily work from a relational perspective. That means our relationship - you and me - is an important part of our work together. Together, we can build safety and trust. I will be your companion in the work towards healing. I integrate a variety of interventions into my work with clients, drawing on narrative, psychodynamic, attachment, and mindfulness approaches. My work with clients is often dynamic, weaving examining what's happening for you under the surface with engaging with your day to day life and symptoms. Ultimately, I want you to feel resourced and equipped. I have a calm, warm presence that puts clients at ease. My work with each client is tailored towards your goals, desires, and needs. I am direct and open to your feedback. Some of my clinical interests include grief and loss, identity formation, relationships, life transitions, sexuality, spiritual or religious trauma, and mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, or bipolar mood disorders.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens in relationships. I also believe that we each hold a number of different identities that impact us in different ways in different contexts. I'm interested in learning about all parts of you and understanding you on a holistic level. If you hold spiritual or religious beliefs, I can support you and integrate that into our work together if that is something you desire.
