About My Clients
I work with people ready to show up differently. You are likely building a path that wasn't modeled for you as you navigate different worlds and carve your own story. Many of my clients feel exhausted by the effort of just getting by or find themselves at a crossroads despite their success. As a Latino cisgender male therapist, I am passionate about helping the BIPOC community move toward a place where they can finally feel at home in their own lives.
My Background and Approach
My approach centers on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help adults navigating anxiety, relational trauma, family stress, and major life shifts. Together, we’ll look at the real-world context of your life, examining how your daily thoughts, body sensations, and habits are shaped by your story and lived identity. We won’t just talk in circles; we’ll build practical skills to help you step back from rigid rules, quiet your inner critic, and step out of survival mode. To care for your whole self, I also integrate present-moment body awareness, self-compassion, attachment work, behavioral exposure, and EMDR.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
When who you are, where you come from, and how you survive feel completely at odds, just existing can feel exhausting. You might be carrying the heavy weight of generational pressure, saying ‘yes’ out of obligation, or living with a harsh inner critic that judges your every move. I get this on a deep, personal level. As a Mexican-American, first-generation graduate, and son of immigrants, I know what it feels like to balance two distinct sets of expectations without a clear map. Driven by a search for stability, I built my first career in IT, but felt a constant pull toward deeper human connection. My path into therapy was ultimately shaped by walking through my own twists and turns, including losing my mother and key mentors, stepping into fatherhood, and unlearning old patterns. Through all of it, having people willing to join me in the struggle made all the difference. That is the exact space I aim to offer you.
