About My Clients

You feel lonely and it seems like you and your partner argue about the same thing over and over. You make changes in your relationship, but it doesn’t have the outcome you expected. You feel completely overwhelmed and don’t know how you got here. You want to open your relationship and don’t know how to talk to your partner about it. Although it may feel overwhelming to take the step of therapy, you know that a better relationship with yourself and others is possible.

My Background and Approach

I work with people that are motivated to achieve the loving and connected relationships they want in their lives, even if they aren’t even sure what that might look like yet. Through a person-centered approach that is flexible to your personal goals, I will help you increase your skills and insights. There is a lot of advice available out there about relationships. From magazines to podcasts, everyone seems to have opinions about what you should do (or not do) to create the relationship you crave. Through our therapy sessions, you will discover what YOUR opinion is and what YOU are able and willing to do to make the changes you require. I have 10 years of clinical experience and 5 years of working with couples tackling issues of infidelity, miscommunication, and conflict. I also am informed and unbiased in working with poly/kink/open relationships. I am passionate about helping people achieve connection and love with themselves and each other.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that anyone can make a change in their life, but you don't have to go through it alone. Connection to others is one of the biggest needs we have in our lives, yet we often dismiss this need and push it to the side. I think that by building connections and empathy with others we can enhance not just our own lives, but others. Although I am coming from a position of privilege (I identify as a cis-gender, white, female), I believe passionately in any cause that seeks to uplift oppressed voices and promote equality, and am doing both personal and community work to dismantle systems of racism, classism, ableism, heteronormativity, and sexism.
