I really enjoy helping people navigate changes and transitions in their lives, whether that is graduating, going to college, marriage, divorce, loss of job, moving. I understand that it doesn't need to be a specifically negative change to create stress and unease. I've worked with high school and college students, parents of kids with disabilities, women leaving abusive or toxic relationships, young adults navigating life out of college, and young professionals navigating career transitions.

We are passionate about the heart behind Dialectical Behavioral Therapy: radical acceptance of who you are and where you are in the moment, while making the changes necessary to be more aligned with your values. PSYCHe is led by a DBT Linehan Board of Certification, Certified clinician. We believe wholeheartedly in the efficacy of mindfulness-based practices in order to become more aware of our thoughts and emotions and to be fully present in our lives.

Especially in this political and social climate, anxiety, dread, and depression can be attributed to the human condition; that is, being a human in this deeply imperfect world is bound to bring with it anxieties, worries, and a sense of loneliness sometimes. Viewing it as a normal, although unpleasant, part of life can help to shift the narrative from pathology, to a temporary feeling that we can use to explore these emotions and how they impact us globally.

CBT encourages clients to challenge unhelpful or maladaptive thoughts that bring around unwanted or unhealthy actions. Doing this can improve emotional regulation, understanding, and processing. At the heart of this is discovering the core beliefs we have about ourselves and how they've influenced and effected our thoughts and decision-making.

Teens need just the right fit when it comes to working with a therapist. They need someone who can make them feel comfortable enough to open up while also challenging them at a level that helps them to grow. We have therapists who work with adolescents struggling with a variety of issues such as social anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, addiction, self-harm, suicide, or just difficulty navigating everyday stressors.

We treat everything from General Anxiety Disorder (GAD), panic attacks, phobias, OCD, etc, each one requiring a trained eye to recognize in order to treat them properly. No matter what it is you're dealing with or how severe, we will help you take back the reins and gain control over your worry once more.

Not all depressive symptoms are the same. It is important that your provider asks the right questions. oo often, the label “Depression” is tossed around in popular culture as a way to describe a feeling or a mood, i.e. “I’m depressed thinking about how much work I have to do this weekend” or, “After looking at my bank balance this morning, I’m completely depressed.” While these situations CAN trigger sadness, hopelessness, and/or other unpleasant emotions, they are NOT a Depressive Disorder.
