About My Clients

I enjoy working with ages 2+ to hospice. Whether you are an individual, couple, or family that is hurting or healing...I want to help you breathe in hope. Once you’re able to breathe, then we collaborate towards lasting restoration. I desire to come alongside you, listen, and connect while providing relief. Whether you are an individual, couple, or family healing from trauma, grief, addiction, or religious abuse. Once you’re able to breathe, we collaborate toward lasting restoration.

My Background and Approach

I provided outpatient (IOP/PHP) care at a psychiatric hospital, where I facilitated individual and group sessions for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors with substance use and mental health disorders. This is where I learned to sit with uncomfortable feelings and to ask questions about the body and not just the mind. I have an eclectic approach which uses modalities that respect your values and meet your goals. We'll talk through what approach will embrace who you are and who you want to be. I do home visits with my families because so much of what is happening within the dynamic of the family occurs in the home setting. There I can provide practical tools that can be implemented in a way that is specific to your home while supporting the environment you want to build. My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Counseling is actually my 2nd career, doing I.T. Support was my 1st. While working in that field, I told people that I did just as much counseling as I did I.T. work. Many people came to see me feeling anxious, angry, stressed, overwhelmed, or in grief because of technology issues. I quickly learned that there were two issues going on: · One was technical and the other was emotional. · One needed repair and the other needed relief. So, I addressed the person and their emotions first and then addressed their I.T. issues. I spent thousands of hours sitting with people, fixing their technology and giving space for their emotions and...I loved it! I didn’t realize it then, but these were my first steps which would lead me into pursuing a career as a therapist. Now my work is in Emotional Support and instead of addressing hardware and software, I get to address brainware and heartware.
