Young children and teens struggle with life changes, big emotions, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, family conflict, and personal stressors just as much as the rest of us. Parents often feel helpless, overwhelmed, and worried about how to help their kids. You are trying to make sure they are happy, but it’s hard to know how to do this when kids don’t always know how to explain themselves. Together we can help your child work through the challenges.
My Background and Approach
I am a Registered Play Therapist and am passionate about helping kids thrive and parents feel less overwhelmed. I have spent years studying child development to understand what your child needs and to help you see all the things you are doing right in parenting. My goal is for both you and your child to leave feeling more capable and confident.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all children need to feel seen and know how wonderful they are, especially when facing challenges. Children are intuitive and resilient, and if we give them space to sort through things, they often already know what they need to do to experience healing and happiness. And we adults might learn something from them along the way too.
