About My Clients
Are you new to therapy, or come from a background or culture that doesn't endorse mental health or centering you or relationships? Are you navigating issues such as being multicultural, a survivor, a dreamer, questioning your identities, kinky, experiencing social and racial injustice, neurodivergent, historic/intergenerational trauma, depression, exploring your sexual health, mental health, and overall wellbeing? Are you sick of someone telling you who you are or who you should be? Let's talk!
My Background and Approach
My casual yet direct approach welcomes you, sees you, and values your being. I have been perfecting my ability to connect with others right where they are at, with what they have. My trauma-informed and sex positve approach is tailored to the individual or relationship that encourages empowerment, self-exploration, acceptance, and radical self-love. My goal is to provide culturally competent care that centers on harm reduction and affirming treatment that offers interventions suited to your lifestyle, your goals, and intentions in healing. We'll work collaboratively to address how we can realign your narrative, deconstruct your distress while understanding your cultural context and barriers. My holistic approach utilizes ACT, DBT, Narrative, Brainspotting, and Somatic interventions to bring you back home to yourself. You will gain self-awareness, resiliance, and skills that promote pleasure, flexibility, distress tolerance, and validation of your lived experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the personal is politcal. Social Justice, liberation, and pleasure activism values are an essential foundation of my personal framework, as it recognizes context, power imbalances, systemic and oppressive barriers, joy/pleasure, and humility. I stand with QTBIPOC, LGBTQIA, Palestine, Congo, bodies with different abilities, and many other underserved populations who are actively being targeted for their identity. Addressing trauma, hate, and anti blackness or anti-LBGTQIA+ and building solidarity looks like showing up to work as me, being my authentic self. By becoming a representation in places that have indoctrinated white supremacist ideology, such as professional, academic, and Western psychology, I am addressing all the “isms” that are at play.
