About My Clients

Thank you for visiting! Right now, I have a full schedule and can't take on new clients at the moment. In my work, I have helped people with trauma, cultural identity exploration, setting personal boundaries, coping with loss and sadness, managing hard feelings, connecting with the body, and improving relationships. I also find it fulfilling to work with individuals who are interested in geek culture, identify as LGBTQIA+/SGM, or belong to BIPOC/cultural minority communities.

My Background and Approach

I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D) from Adler University, where I completed my dissertation on studying how adults who play MMORPG video games socialize and interact with others. Throughout my career, I've worked in community mental health centers, hospitals, college counseling centers, and group practices. In my therapy practice, I use a combination of Internal Family Systems, trauma-informed neuroscience (IPNB), and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. This way of doing therapy focuses on understanding the different parts of ourselves, how our brain and body work together, and the importance of our body in healing. I believe that how we handle and respond to stress is influenced by our early experiences in relationships. Our brains are designed to connect with others through our emotions and heal when we feel safe and supported. Because of this, I guide our sessions slowly and gently, taking into account your own capacity to handle and process experiences.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I strongly believe that the relationship between the therapist and the client is the most healing part of therapy. When we go through overwhelming, painful, and traumatic experiences, it can make us feel overwhelmed or stuck. My intention in therapy is to co-create a safe relationship with the client, to help people who are stressed or traumatized learn to manage their nervous system, and to help them move towards their goals.
